What Makes the Kiwi Kraft Pontoon Different
Not all alloy pontoon boats are built the same. The Kiwi Kraft pontoon tube system on our 740–890 models sets the benchmark for construction quality in New Zealand.
3-Piece Tube Construction
The large pontoons on the 740–890 models are a 3-piece tube. Lower and outer sections are 4mm extrusion made in Australia — the highest grade available.
Slotted & Welded Joints
These sections are slotted together on a jig and welded longitudinally inside and out to completely seal the joint. No gaps, no weak points.
Fabricated Inner Section
The inside and top section are 3mm fabricated by Kiwi Kraft and slotted into the extruded section joints, then welded fully on jig for total structural integrity.
SGS Survey Approved
These tubes are super strong and approved for SGS survey on many models — meaning they meet commercial vessel standards. No other aluminium pontoon boat manufacturer in New Zealand can say that.
Individually Pressure Tested
All baffles are fully welded into the tube sections 20mm away from the welded pontoon joints — meaning each section can be individually pressure tested. Absolute confidence in watertight integrity.
Gull Wing Ride Effect
